Good evening Central families,
Our first PTO meeting is scheduled for tomorrow, Monday, September 18, at 5:00 in our library. This is a great way to get involved in what is happening at Central Elementary. All parents / guardians are welcome to attend. We will begin planning for our annual Fall Festival and set dates for other fun events for the school year.
Check out the September Newsletter! There's lots going on in our building: https://www.smore.com/1jrtz
It was a magical day at Central Elementary! Author Terry Border dazzled our students with his creative artwork and knowledge of children's books! The author of the Scaredy Snacks and Snack Attack books spent the day sharing his passion with Pk-2 and then 3-5 in a 45 minute presentation followed by a book signing. The kids (and teachers) had a great time!
If your student had a book signed there will be a separate social media post with their picture. Enjoy!

Our students love reading! There are lots of ways for them to get books this year, including a birthday book cart, "caught reading cards", using our new little free library on the playground and even earning a "golden token" to pick from our brand new book vending machine!
Friendship bracelets in 5th! This sweet class made bracelets that describe a good friend and then exchanged. Such a great way to start the school year!
So much fun from 4th grade! Last week they of 4th grade they celebrated the fourth day of fourth grade! We practiced trivia involving the number four, had a snack with four ingredients, played four corners and finished off with a four minute dance party!
This playground is awesome and kid approved! Hoping for some cooler weather this week so we can enjoy it more!
Welcome back assemblies this week! Our principals met with each grade levels to welcome them back and explain some expectations. Here they are showing our kids what kindness looks like!
