The Scholastic Book Fair will be open from 5:30-7:30 this evening at our literacy and fine arts night. It will also be open all day tomorrow for students to come shop on their own. Please send money in a sealed envelope with your child's name.
Check your child's backpack for information on our Central Elementary cookie dough fundraiser to benefit our PTO. This fundraiser makes it possible for free field trips for all students, fun assemblies, student rewards, and classroom and playground items. Thank you for your continued support!
Last night our student council donated $350 to the Franklin County Foster Closet with the proceeds from the Candy Gram sales!
They also cleaned up our school to get it looking nice for Literacy and Fine Arts Night. How great are they?!

Read Across America week is happening February 27-March 3rd at Central Elementary! Read Across America is the nation's largest celebration of reading! This week is all about celebrating reading and the authors/illustrators who bring us joy! Additional reading activities and studies may be provided by the classroom teacher.

3 days in a row our students have been greeted by high school athletes- how lucky are we?! Today we were lucky enough to see the girls basketball team.
SAVE THE DATE! On Thursday March 9th we will be holding our first Literacy and Fine Arts Night. This will be a fun evening to explore literacy and fine arts activities with your families: watch music performances, walk through an art gallery, shop at the scholastic book fair and watch read alouds from many different people in our community! You're not going to want to miss this fun event!
