Meet one of our new third grade teachers Mikayla Earl.

Mikayla Earl is a passionate first year 3rd grade teacher who is ambitious to get in the classroom and make a difference for every child. She believes that every child deserves to feel known, valued, encouraged, and capable of making growth. She wants her students to feel safe to ask questions and know that it's okay to make mistakes as that is part of learning in and outside of the classroom. Mikayla’s love for teaching began with a strong desire to make a difference in the lives of children. She earned her bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education from Central Methodist University. She is prepared to celebrate each student's strengths while helping them grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Outside of the classroom Mikayla enjoys making memories with her son who is starting school this year as well. Her experience as a mother has also deepened her appreciation for the trust families place in teachers every day. Mikayla is grateful for the opportunity to teach, learn alongside her students, and become a part of the community she serves.

Kindergarten families please join us for: Popsicles on the Playground. August 11th from 5:00 - 6:30 pm. Students will meet their teacher, enjoy a popsicle and play on the playground.

Get ready for some fun in the sun!
Students will enjoy an exciting afternoon of water activities, including a special visit from the Union Fire Department!
As an extra treat, Dana's Shaved Ice will also be here to help us cool off and celebrate.
Please send your child with:
☀️ Sunscreen (applied before school if possible)
🧴 Extra sunscreen if needed
🏖️ A towel
👕 Appropriate swimwear or clothes that can get wet
👟 Water-friendly shoes or a change of footwear (optional)

We have our first Friday fun day with bounce houses in the gym. All students need to have a signed permission slip that is coming home today and a pair of sock on Friday to participate.
