Good morning, #unionrxi families:
Due to the hazardous weather outlook that has been issued by the National Weather Service which includes periods of severe thunderstorms this afternoon and evening with the potential for large hail, damaging wind gusts, and tornadoes, we are dismissing all #unionrxi schools early today, April 27, 2026.
All elementary schools will dismiss at 1:00 pm and our secondary schools will dismiss at 1:35 pm.
We understand the challenge presented to our families with an early dismissal, but an early dismissal will allow all our bus routes to be completed and all our student drivers can arrive home safely prior to any inclement weather. The timing of this weather event has moved up sooner and now looks to impact our region right during our regular dismissal and we want to do everything we can to ensure our buses, students, and staff can travel safely.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership in keeping both our students and staff safe.

Prairie Dell would like to thank our volunteers for all of their hard work. They help with field day, field trips, events and the PTO. Happy volunteer appreciation week.
Tomorrow is administrative professional day. Help us celebrate Ms. Cara and Ms. Sarah. We are so grateful to have them at PDE.
The pick up time for students participating in talent show tryouts has been changed to 5pm, due to the large number of participants.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we are rescheduling our 4th Grade concert: Gone Camping. All details remain the same with the exception of the date which has been changed to Thursday, April 30th.
