Transportation update:
As you have probably heard, there is a school bus driver shortage that is affecting school districts across the nation. Though we have an awesome team of bus drivers and a wonderful partnership with First Student, we unfortunately are not immune to this national shortage.
This means there are times when it may be necessary to combine routes, complete routes later or earlier than usual, and even possibly cancel certain routes or transportation to events and extracurriculars.
Please know we are doing everything we can to minimize any disruptions to the transportation services we are providing our students, however, there are some we simply won't be able to avoid.
In the event we need to modify a transportation route or extracurricular activity, we will make our best effort to communicate that change in advance so you have time to adjust as needed. We are working to secure more transportation personnel, but that can take time and won't happen overnight.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we navigate these challenging times and don't hesitate to reach out if there is anything we can do to assist.
Dr. Mike Mabe, Deputy Superintendent
