How cute are these writers notebooks? 4th graders recently took ownership over their own writing spaces by decorating their notebooks. We think they turned out pretty snazzy! Great job!

best team ever
Good evening, Union R-XI Families: We hope everyone is having a great school year thus far! We’d like to take a moment to share some information about the state testing that occurred this past spring. The Missouri Assessment Program (MAP) Grade-Level Assessments and End of Course (EOC) exams evaluate students’ progress toward the Missouri Learning Standards. The MAP Grade-Level Assessments include assessments in the subject areas of Communication arts (grades 3-8), Mathematics (grades 3-8), and Science (grades 5 and 8). The EOC, End of Course Assessments include assessments in the subject areas of Algebra I, Biology, English II, and Government. These assessments provide important information that contributes to decisions concerning individual students, groups of students, and educational programs. We have recently received your child’s Individual Student Report (ISR). This report includes an Achievement Level, which will describe his or her performance for the grade level and content area as Below Basic, Basic, Proficient, or Advanced. The report will also include a short description of the knowledge and skills that are typically demonstrated by students in each Achievement Level for their grade level and content area. We plan to send these reports home at the Middle School and High School with the first round of progress reports, as well as share them at the elementary schools at parent/teacher conferences. If you would like your child's report prior to that time, please reach out to your building counselor for the report. We deeply value our students and know that they are SO much more than a test score on paper; however, we are also extremely proud of the hard work they put in. We are excited to share in their accomplishments on these state assessments as their hard work pays off. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or we can help in any way! Dr. Kendra Fennessey - Assistant Superintendent Union R-XI School District

Central is excited to welcome Brooke Davis to our staff for the 2024-25 school year! Mrs. Davis will join our first grade team. She is entering her 20th year of teaching. She previously taught for 19 years in the St. Clair School District. She attended college at Missouri State University. She has been married to her husband Chad for 16 years. They have 2 boys, Jagger (7th grade) and Mathis (5th grade). In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family, hiking, going for runs, and pretty much anything outside. When asked what makes her excited to join Team Central, she replied, “I was always proud to be a part of the Wildcat family while I was in school. There has always been an infectious sense of pride and excellence within this district. I know I'll be joining a long legacy of amazing educators at Central Elementary. I'm so excited to be a part of it, again, and come back home!”
