hiring

Last night at a special Board of Education meeting, our BoE approved the hiring of two new assistant principals for the 24/25 school year.

We are first excited to announce that Mrs. Bridget Klenke, current secondary instructional coach/curriculum coordinator, will be Union High School’s new Assistant Principal for the 24/25 school year. Mrs. Klenke has been both a middle school history teacher and secondary instructional coach in our district for the past nine years. Prior to that, Mrs. Klenke taught high school history for six years in the Fort Zumwalt School District. Additionally, Mrs. Klenke just recently received the prestigious ‘Going the Extra Mile’ award at our annual employee recognition banquet.

“Mrs. Klenke is a compassionate and positive force. Mrs. Klenke has a reputation within our educational community as someone who understands the importance of educating all students and supporting all staff. Union High School looks forward to benefiting from her leadership.”

- Josh Hall, Union High School Principal

Additionally, we are excited to announce that Mr. Nick Kelley, current physical education teacher at Union Middle School, will be Union Middle School’s new Assistant Principal for the 24/25 school year. Mr. Kelley has 12 years teaching experience (all at Union Middle) and has coached multiple sports during his tenure. From teaching computers to Project Lead the Way and now physical education, Mr. Kelley has had a significant impact on the lives of his students. Mr. Kelley is excited to continue his work alongside UMS staff and students in his new role.

“I am thrilled to have Nick as our assistant principal at UMS. Nick has been a dedicated and positive influence in the lives of our students for years and I am excited for him to join me on this journey. Nick’s commitment to the success of UMS is unwavering and there’s no doubt in my mind he will be fantastic in this new role.”
